As the new year is upon us it is time to reflect upon last year's wedding season. Now, as a "numbers guy" (not just a musician that can only count up to 4/4 -lol) I track what couples have chosen for the wedding selections. Some years, a trending movie or pop selection tops the list of requested songs. Other years, more traditional, "timeless classics" are requested. As far as bridal processional music went in 2017, Canon in D (Pachelbel) was by far our most requested selection, followed by Trumpet Voluntary (Purcell) second, and Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring (Bach) third. I guess that 2017 was the year of the classics!
